Peugeot 407

ENVIRONNEMENT

The HDi engines of the new Peugeot 407 benefit from a common rail direct injection system which ensures very fine atomisation of the fuel directly in the combustion chamber, thereby giving a uniform fuel mix and reduced fuel consumption and emissions at source.

Particulate filter

All the HDi engines of the new Peugeot 407 range are provided with a particulate filter as standard equipment for improved environmental protection.

140 g of CO2

The new Peugeot 407 is available with a 1.6 HDi engine with particulate filter which gives a combined cycle consumption of 5.3 litres per 100 km, for an emissions level of only 140 g in both the saloon and SW versions.

Recycling standard

To protect the environment, the design and choice of materials used in the manufacture of the new Peugeot 407 are in line with the European directives on recycling.

2.0 l HDi FAP

Bioflex

A 2.0-litre "Bioflex" engine running on E85 bioethanol fuel is available for some markets on the new Peugeot 407.
