Since the announcement of its name at the Paris Motor Show in October 2022, we have been looking forward to it! After being unveiled to the general public on 5 January at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas, the PEUGEOT INCEPTION CONCEPT was presented for the first time in Europe on 23 March in Paris. This was the occasion to unveil an artistic collaboration with Emeric Tchatchoua, founder of the 3.PARADIS brand.
At first glance, one recognises the look of a PEUGEOT vehicle. Once again, the Lion has stamped its inimitable signature: the feline aspect dominates, but the codes are shaken up. With INCEPTION, PEUGEOT enters a new era. The Latin root of its name says a lot about the meaning of the new direction taken by the Marque: Inception comes from the Latin "inceptio" which means beginning. This new Concept Car is a real manifesto that introduces the Marque's new design language.

PEUGEOT INCEPTION CONCEPT claims to be a showcase for the new technologies that the Lion Brand will deploy to reduce its carbon footprint by more than 50% by 2030 in Europe and become fully Carbon Net Zero by 2038. In addition, the ambition is to bring to production as early as 2025 most of the innovations presented by PEUGEOT INCEPTION CONCEPT on production vehicles:
  • New generation of the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® which integrates steer-by-wire technology, eliminating the steering wheel in favour of a Hypersquare control;

  • Interior that offers a new on-board experience for passengers;

  • Design of the next generation of electric PEUGEOTs by 2026, based on the native electric "BEV-by-design" platform.

An original collaboration with a new generation designer

On the occasion of the European presentation of the PEUGEOT INCEPTION CONCEPT in Paris, PEUGEOT is continuing its ambition to look resolutely to the future by teaming up with one of the most fashionable French designer: Emeric Tchatchoua, founder of the 3.PARADIS brand.

Inspired by the concept car, Emeric Tchatchoua has created an incredible garment: a jacket made using a lenticular 3D printing technique. The result is a stunning optical illusion that changes colour depending on the angle of view. It's a real stroke of genius!

The reference to the interior design of the PEUGEOT INCEPTION CONCEPT is all the more obvious as the 3D printing technique is the same as the one used for the vehicle floor. This highly innovative and eco-responsible printing technique is carried out in collaboration with STRATASYS (a specialist in 3D printing for automotive, aerospace, industrial, electronic and medical equipment manufacturers) and French dyers.

For you, we went to meet this inspired and inspiring designer to discover the fruit of this extraordinary collaboration with the Lion Brand. Take a look behind the scenes of a technical and artistic partnership between two talented designers: Matthias Hossann, PEUGEOT's design director, and Emeric Tchatchoua, the founder of 3.Paradise.
